Topics: Frequently Asked Questions

Use a quality sharpening steel (the longer the better, and diamond steels are better still) and learn how to use it properly by watching how-to videos on YouTube, that is the best way to keep chef knives sharp.

Never use a sharpening stone. Never use a grinder (you will destroy your chef knife).

Hi Annabelle, I propose the First Class 21cm Chef Knife from Solicut (German made). I have one at home and use it for EVERYTHING :)

Call my friends at “The Knife Shop” in Tauranga (07) 578-2020 and Albert or Christine can send one out to you. (It’s about $200).

Ek, $200! That sounds pretty expensive for a knife! Was thinking something a little cheaper….?
