<li>A knife block is the best place to store your chef knives.</li>
<li>Magnetic Racks are also very good (but expose your knives to flies, which grosses our a few people including myself!).</li>
<li>Never store your chef knives unprotected in a cutlery drawer. You are risking finger injuries and they will get damaged easily by other metal objects in the drawer.</li>
<li>In a sleave or sheath, in a drawer is ok. But not in one of those stupid plastic sharpening sleaves that are suppose to sharpen your knife as you pull it in and out of the sheath.</li>
